Samsung is bringing a wave of Galaxy S26-exclusive AI features to older devices with its One UI 8.5 beta, giving the Galaxy S24 and S25 series a serious upgrade. A leaked internal build reveals several high-end tools making the jump, including an enhanced Audio Eraser that can isolate voices, music, and background noise in real time—even while streaming content on apps like Netflix, YouTube, and Instagram. Users can quickly tweak audio from the Quick Panel, boosting dialogue clarity or reducing unwanted noise on the fly.
Another standout is Creative Studio, a generative AI image tool that can turn rough sketches into polished artwork or completely restyle existing photos. Samsung is also adding Call Screening, an AI assistant that answers unknown calls for you and provides real-time transcriptions so you can decide whether to pick up. On top of that, an upgraded Photo Assist lets users edit images using text prompts—removing objects, changing colors, or making more complex adjustments with minimal effort.
The update also introduces a much smarter Bixby, now enhanced with AI capabilities through Samsung’s partnership with Perplexity. Beyond basic chatbot functions, Bixby can act like a built-in device expert. You can say things like “my eyes are strained” to enable Eye Comfort Shield, or mention that your screen is too bright at night and it will activate Extra Dim automatically. It can also run diagnostics, check battery health, or toggle features like mobile hotspot—no menu digging required.
Overall, Samsung is turning older Galaxy devices into far more capable AI-powered tools, delivering features that previously seemed locked to its newest flagship lineup.
