Anthropic has introduced a powerful artificial intelligence model that is already prompting discussions among governments and financial institutions about cybersecurity risks.

Officials from United States, Canada, and United Kingdom met with banks and regulators to assess the potential impact. The model, Claude Mythos Preview, demonstrated the ability to identify vulnerabilities across operating systems and web browsers.

Anthropic launched the system under a controlled initiative called “Project Glasswing”. The company reported that the model identified “thousands” of high and critical-severity vulnerabilities, highlighting both its defensive potential and the risks if misused.
