Samsung Unveils Its First 130-Inch TV, Redefining Big-Screen Viewing

Samsung has made a bold statement at CES 2026 with the unveiling of its first-ever 130-inch Micro RGB TV, pushing ultra-large displays into a new premium category.

Despite its enormous size, the TV is designed to feel elegant rather than overwhelming. Samsung’s “Timeless Frame” design gives the screen a gallery-style appearance, helping it blend into high-end living spaces while still delivering a truly cinematic presence.

The real innovation lies in Samsung’s Micro RGB technology. Instead of using a traditional white LED backlight, the TV relies on microscopic red, green and blue light sources. This allows for far more accurate colour reproduction, delivering full coverage of the BT.2020 colour space, alongside improved brightness and contrast.

AI also plays a key role. Samsung’s advanced processing dynamically enhances picture quality, sharpens detail and optimises HDR performance in real time. A glare-reduction coating helps maintain image clarity even in bright rooms — an important feature for a screen of this scale.

With immersive built-in audio, HDR10+ support and a suite of AI-powered smart features, Samsung’s 130-inch TV represents the cutting edge of home entertainment. While pricing and availability remain unconfirmed, its debut offers a clear glimpse into the future of ultra-premium televisions.
