ASUS has teased a new range of AM5 motherboards, branded as the “NEO” series, which is set to be officially showcased at CES 2026 in January.
The announcement comes via a short teaser video released on ASUS’s social media channels. While full specifications have not yet been confirmed, the video offers brief glimpses of the upcoming boards and confirms continued support for AMD’s AM5 platform. The NEO series is expected to span several of ASUS’s existing product lines, including ROG, TUF Gaming, and ProArt.
Early indications suggest the NEO range will be a refreshed update to ASUS’s current AM5 motherboard offerings rather than an entirely new chipset generation. The focus appears to be on incremental improvements, with hints pointing towards updated connectivity features. One visible label in the teaser references “Wi-Fi 7 NEO”, suggesting support for next-generation wireless standards.
The naming approach is expected to remain familiar, with “NEO” added to existing model names to differentiate the updated boards from earlier versions. This strategy would allow ASUS to modernise its lineup while maintaining brand recognition among consumers.
The timing of the teaser aligns with growing expectations of new AMD Ryzen announcements at CES, meaning the NEO motherboards could launch alongside upcoming processors designed for the AM5 socket.
ASUS is expected to reveal full specifications, pricing, and availability details when the NEO motherboard series is formally unveiled at CES 2026.
