Nvidia doubles down on AI-powered PCs with new chip for Windows laptops.

Nvidia unveiled a new generation of AI-focused chips on Monday, aiming to bring advanced artificial intelligence capabilities directly to Windows laptops and desktop PCs from manufacturers such as Microsoft and Dell later this year.

Speaking at Nvidia’s GTC event in Taipei, CEO Jensen Huang said the company is working with Microsoft to “reinvent the PC” through AI-powered computers capable of running sophisticated AI models and assistants locally. The new RTX Spark superchip combines CPU and GPU technology, enabling devices to handle tasks such as research, file analysis, and real-time AI interactions without relying heavily on the cloud.

Already the world’s most valuable company, Nvidia is looking beyond data centres to expand its influence in the rapidly growing AI PC market, with the first devices expected to launch this fall.
