Notion is moving beyond note-taking and into AI automation.

In a new launch, it introduced a developer platform that turns its workspace into a hub for AI agents, letting teams build automated workflows, connect to external tools, and coordinate multiple agents in one place.

Previously, Notion’s AI agents handled simple tasks but couldn’t connect to outside data or systems. Now, they can integrate with external agents, use custom logic, and pull from any database. Teams can even assign tasks to outside AI tools and track their progress inside Notion.

With over 1 million custom agents already created, this shift positions Notion as a programmable platform for managing AI-driven work, not just a productivity app.
