Spotify experienced significant service disruptions today, leaving countless users unable to access music or podcasts on the popular streaming platform.

According to Downdetector, more than 48,000 outage reports were logged worldwide by 3pm. Users primarily reported difficulties loading the application or playing content.

The streaming giant serves over 675 million people globally, including 263 million paid subscribers across more than 180 markets. This widespread outage potentially affected millions of listeners attempting to stream music during their daily routines.

As of this report, Spotify has not revealed the root cause of the technical problems.
