Honor has unveiled its latest foldable smartphone, the Magic V6, ahead of its appearance at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The device is designed to combine a large battery with an ultra-slim foldable form factor, targeting consumers who want long battery life without sacrificing portability.
The Magic V6 features a 6600 mAh battery, one of the largest ever used in a book-style foldable phone, improving on the 5820 mAh battery included in the previous model. Honor has also adopted silicon-carbon battery technology to increase energy density while keeping the device lightweight.
The phone supports 80 W wired charging and 66 W wireless charging, allowing relatively fast recharging while maintaining extended battery performance during daily use.
Despite the larger battery, the Magic V6 remains extremely thin, measuring about 4 mm when unfolded and around 8.75 mm when folded. Honor says it has strengthened hinge durability and overall structural design to improve reliability.
The device also includes IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance ratings, which are uncommon in foldable smartphones, offering greater protection against environmental exposure.
The launch reflects growing competition in the premium foldable market as manufacturers race to combine high performance, battery endurance and sleek design in a single flagship device.
Pricing and global release information have not yet been confirmed, but the phone is expected to reach international markets later in the year.
