Apple Set to Unveil Gemini-Powered Siri Upgrade in February 2026.

Apple plans to demonstrate a significantly enhanced Siri in the second half of February 2026, leveraging Google’s Gemini AI models through a multiyear partnership announced in January.

The collaboration integrates Gemini’s advanced capabilities into Apple’s foundational models, delivering a more personalised, context-aware assistant while maintaining core privacy protections such as on-device processing and Private Cloud Compute. This step accelerates Siri’s evolution after earlier delays from its 2024 preview, driven by technical challenges.

Developers should gain early access via iOS 26.4 betas in the coming weeks, with broader public rollout expected in March or April. The upgraded Siri promises superior performance on complex tasks, more natural conversation and tighter ecosystem integration, helping Apple close the gap in an increasingly competitive AI-powered mobile space.

The arrangement with Google complements existing partnerships, including ChatGPT for select queries, without replacing them. It underscores Apple’s pragmatic strategy: combining proven external models for timely gains while continuing to invest in proprietary advancements.

This upgrade arrives at a pivotal moment. With Gemini powering future Apple Intelligence features beyond Siri, the partnership positions the company to deliver meaningful improvements sooner, potentially reshaping user expectations for voice assistants. The question is whether the enhanced Siri will meet the high bar set by rivals and restore momentum to Apple’s AI narrative.
